Once again, the figure returns to the work. Most of these paintings are built on images salvaged from old family films dating to the 1940s and 1950s - the people and their relationships that while existing as little more than whispers of memories are the foundation, the history of family. Married to this narrative, the paintings are still about paint and the power it has to evoke a response.
