The habanero, orange and somewhat translucent, would prove challenging. At one point, I wiped most of the painting away and started fresh. It kicked my ass, but got my juices flowing.

Habanero, 6" x 5" -sold-

Having just finished the habanero, I didn't want to stop. With some friends coming over for dinner, a filthy house and nothing prepared, I had no time for fussing. It has issues, of course, but it makes me smile. For a moment of rage, I recommend dropping a wet painting. It slipped in my hands and as I caught it, two dragged fingers through painting. Just a little rage. Just a little. Back on the easel it went and with some work was better than it had been.

Small orange, Also 6" x 5"

This mode of painting is still very new, but I feel as though I'm finally hitting my stride with these odd little paintings.
