17th Annual Sitka Art Invitational. This event brings together more than 600 pieces of art from 128 artists. Sales from event support the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology. This amazing organization is dedicated to expanding the relationships between art, nature and humanity and is renowned for its workshop and residency programs. Sitka, located on Cascade Head, offers a place where artists come to inspire, create and ultimately transform themselves. The Sitka Center is celebrating its 40th year.

Tickets are still available for the Collectors' Dinner & Live Auction and Opening Night Party with the Artists on Thursday, November 11 at the World Forestry Center. The evening includes dinner, wine, live music and a chance to meet the artists and an auction offering art-related trips and activities. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $175, which includes the Collectors' Dinner & Live Auction, and the Opening Night Party with the Artists. The free exhibit and sale of some of the Northwest's finest art opens to the public Friday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sitka has added an extra day this year for the exhibit and sale. More than 3,000 people attended last year.
The event helps support the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology but it also supports the artists involved. Half of all the proceeds go directly to the artists.
